Associate Professor Mark Crosby

​Mark Crosby is an Associate Professor in Economics at Melbourne Business School. Mark graduated with a PhD from Queen’s University in Canada in 1994, with his thesis focused on the role and regulation of central banks. In the past decade Mark’s research has focused on the economies of the Asian region, with a particular interest in the Chinese economy. Mark has been a regular consultant to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, with research work there focused on the exchange rate arrangements in Hong Kong and in other Asian economies.

​Mark has had many roles at MBS since he joined in 2003, including Associate Dean of Programs, Academic Director of the EMBA program, and Associate Dean International. He has taught subjects including global economics, international finance, and doing business in Asia. During 2011 Mark departed MBS to take on the role as Dean of the GMBA and BBA programs at S P Jain School of Global Management in Singapore, before returning to MBS in late 2012. Mark is a regular commentator in the Australian Financial Review and The Age newspapers, as well as on ABC newsbreakfast and other media.
